Stocks Finish Week On A High Note

The bulls were able to finish up the week on a positive note. Stocks were mainly in the green throughout the trading session as traders appear to be comfortable that economic conditions will eventually allow the Fed to lower interest rates.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 125 points to close at 39,512. The S&P 500 was up 8 points to finish the day at 5,222. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 5 points to close at 16,340. Gold was up $29 to trade at $2,369 per ounce, while oil was down $.87 to trade at $78.39 per barrel WTI.

If it appears that I didn’t have much to say this week, it’s probably because I really didn’t have much to talk about. Stocks squeezed higher, but there were no real catalysts. Let’s see what next week has to offer. Maybe there will be more to talk about.

Have a great weekend everyone.
