Stocks Edge Higher

Dec 30, 2020 | Market Commentary

Friends
The Santa Clause rally got back on track today, but there still seems to be little conviction as traders hold on for dear life till year end. Stocks began the day higher and did hold onto the gains throughout the trading session, though as mentioned there didn’t seem to be a lot of enthusiasm. Who could blame market participants for being exhausted after the roller coaster that was 2020.
For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 73 points to close at 30,409. The S&P 500 was up 5 points to finish the day at 3,732. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 19 points to close at 12,870. Gold was up $13 to trade at $1,896 per ounce, while oil was up $.28 to trade at $48.28 per barrel WTI.
One more day to go!!!!!
Have a nice evening everyone.
