Runaway Train

Jan 12, 2018 | Market Commentary

Friends

The melt up continues. Stocks were up once again today, and it feels like we are all aboard a runaway train. Hopefully, you had a chance to read our quarterly outlook that we sent out yesterday, so I won’t belabor the point, but investors are reacting to a “goldilocks” type of environment.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 228 points to close at 25,803. The S&P 500 was up 18 points to finish the day at 2,786. Gold was up $17 to trade at $1,339 per ounce, while oil was up $.62 to trade at $64.42 per barrel WTI.

I’ve done enough writing for the week. Remember, markets are closed Monday for the MLK holiday. We’ll be back at it on Tuesday.

Have a great weekend everyone.
