Friends
It was another quiet day of trading in the stock market. As I mentioned yesterday, I wouldn’t mind if things cooled off just a bit and the stock market digested recent gains. The bullish predictions for the economy continue to make the headlines and we sure aren’t disagreeing with any of that. We would just like to see the fundamentals catch up to price to make us feel a little more comfortable. Ok, I’ll stop raining on the market’s parade. Things are good, just enjoy it, right?
As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 16 points to finish the day at 33,446. The S&P 500 was up 6 points to close at 4,079. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 9 points to close at 13,688. Gold was down $5 to trade at $1,737 per ounce, while oil was up $.27 to trade at $59.59 per barrel WTI.
Once again, the S&P 500 just closed at an all-time record high. Maybe we should just enjoy it instead of worrying about what awaits us behind every corner.
Have a nice evening everyone.
