Now We’re Even

Friends

After the week opened with two very similar down days, the last two sessions have been identical to the upside. Once again, we opened trading with a nice 50 point Dow gain and spent the rest of the day meandering along, until building on the gains in the last hour of trading.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 80 points to close at 13,471. The S&P 500 was up 11 points to finish the day at 1472. Gold was up $17 to trade at $1673 per ounce, while oil was up $.78 to trade at $93.88 per ounce WTI. The bulls are emboldened as the S&P held and built on the 1461 level and once again closed near 5 year highs.

We get the first of the big bank earnings tomorrow as Wells Fargo reports. Expectations are high for bank earnings this quarter, so it will be interesting to see if they can deliver. We’ll let you know how the week ends tomorrow.

Have a nice evening everyone.
