November Finishes With A Flourish

Nov 30, 2017 | Market Commentary

Friends

It was another wild day for stocks, one which for a time looked like we were about to have the ultimate buying climax. Things did settle down a bit in the afternoon portion of the trading session as stocks came off earlier highs. More good economic news and tax reform hope seemed to ignite the early fuse, but things took on a life of their own during the trading session.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 331 points to finish the day at 24,272. The S&P 500 was up 21 point to close at 2,647. Gold was down $9 to trade at $1,277 per ounce, while oil was basically flat for the day to trade at $57.32 per barrel WTI.

The bulls finished November basically running over the bears. Let’s see how the week finishes out tomorrow, and how we kick December off.

Have a nice evening everyone.
