Let The Santa Rally Begin/Christmas Message

Friends,

 

Stocks did move higher today in a very quiet fashion. Being that Monday, the markets are closed, this was the first day of the potential Santa Claus rally. Let’s hope the man in the red suit brings some presents for the bulls to open next week.

 

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 176 points to finish the day at 33,204. The S&P 500 was up 22 points to close at 3,844. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 21 points to close at 10,497. Gold was up $8 to trade at $1,803 per ounce, while oil was up $2.11 to trade at $79.60 per barrel WTI.

 

Remember the markets are closed Monday so we’ll report to you on Tuesday.
