It was another good day for the bulls. Disney led the way with a more than 8% move to the upside despite the difficulties that the pandemic has bestowed upon them. Investors have definitely decided to look past the current economic difficulties that we find ourselves in and envision a time when this is all behind us. Today’s ADP private payroll number simply emphasized that the current situation is indeed one that should continue to be a challenge. Friday’s jobs report and the market’s reaction to it should be interesting.
As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 373 points to finish the day at 27,201. The S&P 500 was up 21 points to close at 3,327. Gold was up $34 to trade at $2,055 per ounce, while oil was up $.43 to trade at $42.13 per barrel WTI.
