Have A Great 4th of July Everyone

Stocks rallied nicely into the 4th of July holiday during today’s shortened trading session. The ADP private payroll number came in a bit disappointing, but the bulls were not deterred, as stocks climbed to new all-time highs.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial was up 179 points to close at 26,966. The S&P 500 was up 22 points to finish the day at 2,995. Gold was up $11 to trade at $1,419 per ounce, while oil was up $.56 to trade at $56.81 per barrel WTI.

Remember, we are closing the office early today, and will be close all day tomorrow. We’ll be back at it on Friday, ready to report on the non-farm payroll number.

Have a great 4th of July holiday. Be safe.
