Happy Veteran’s Day

Nov 11, 2013 | Market Commentary

Friends

With both the bond market and the banks closed on this Veteran’s Day, stocks were very quiet, and difficult to take any cues from. Because of the holiday we won’t spend much time on lack of activity.

For the day, The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 21 points to close at 15,783. The S&P 500 was up 1 point to finish the day at 1771. Gold was down $1.60 to trade at $1283 per ounce, while oil was up $.47 to trade at $95.07 per barrel WTI.

On this day that we honor our Veterans, CHJ would like to take this moment to thank all of those who serve and protect this country, and never forget those who have served and died for this country in the past. Happy Veteran’s Day everyone.
