Stocks coasted to the finish line today, and 2019 was a great year for investors. In a week or so we’ll put out our piece looking back at 2019 and then looking ahead to 2020. In the meantime, everyone have a safe and happy New Year’s celebration, and we’ll kick off the new year on Thursday.

As for today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 76 points to close at 28,538. The S&P 500 was up 9 points to finish the day at 3,230. Gold was up $2 to trade at $1,520 per ounce, while oil was down $.54 to trade at $61.14 per barrel WTI.
