Happy Anniversary CHJ

Aug 18, 2017 | Market Commentary

Friends

Another day of political headlines.

I considered just ending the email right there. I know I’m exhausted with it all, but nevertheless the markets trade on. After being down about 100 Dow points, the news of White House aid Steve Bannon’s dismissal sent stocks back into positive territory midday. For the rest of the trading session stocks hovered near the breakeven level only to fade back into negative territory at the close.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 76 points to finish the day at 21,674. The S&P 500 was down 4 points to close at 2,425. Gold was up a fraction to trade at $1,293 per ounce, while oil was up $1.56 to trade at $48.65 per barrel WTI.

August 20th marks our 7th anniversary here a CHJ. We can’t thank all of you who have entrusted us with your financial future enough. We take that responsibility very serious and strive to deliver to you the best experience possible. We also want to thank so many of our clients and friends who have referred loved ones and friends to us. We appreciate your confidence and trust you place in us.

Have a great weekend everyone.
