I Guess You Can Call It A Quiet Session

Dec 28, 2018 | Market Commentary

Friends

To say it was a quiet day of trading because stocks only had a trading range of about 450 points seems a bit crazy, but that’s how it felt today. Yes, during the session we were down a couple hundred Dow points and up a couple hundred Dow points, but it all actually seemed calm compared to recent trading sessions.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 76 points to close at 23,062. The S&P 500 was down 3 points to close at 2,485. Gold was up $1 to trade at $1,281 per ounce, while oil was up $.54 to trade at $45.15 per barrel WTI.

We have one more trading session left in 2018. After this historic December (and not in a good way), we’ll be glad to put this year behind us and in the books.

Have a great weekend everyone.
