Dow Takes a Breather, While Nasdaq Advances

Nov 25, 2020 | Market Commentary

Friends

After yesterday’s historic day for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, it appeared that the bulls spiked the ball and went home for Thanksgiving. Yes, there was a little profit taking in some of those Dow names, but market participants still showed interest in owning some more of those Nasdaq names that have been so popular this year.

By the close, the aforementioned Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 173 points to finish the day at 29,872. The S&P 500 was down 5 points to close at 3,629. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 57 points to close at 12,094. Gold was up a fraction to trade at $1,804 per ounce, while oil was up $.73 to trade at $45.64 per barrel WTI.

As I mentioned this morning, being Thanksgiving, we want to thank all of you for allowing us to be part of your financial journey.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. Stay safe.
