Friends
After last week’s surge in the market averages, stocks took a little bit of a breather today. There was no real news to drive the direction of the markets today but we are entering earnings season this week, so we will get a look at corporate America’s report card over the next few weeks.
As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 55 points to finish the day at 33,745. The S&P 500 was down a fraction to close at 4,127. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 50 points to close at 13,850. Gold was down 13 points to trade at $1,731 per ounce, while oil was up $.39 to trade at $59.71 per barrel WTI.
Have a nice evening everyone.
