The Bulls Continue To Roll

Oct 3, 2017 | Market Commentary

Friends

The bulls won’t even let the bears catch their breath. Another day of trading and another day of new highs. All this is happening in a very calm and deliberate manner, almost numbing market participants for the time being. Of course, all this while the country deals with storm aftermath, tragedy in Vegas and endless political intrigue.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 84 points to close at 22,641. The S&P 500 was up 5 points to close at 2,534. Gold was down $1 to trade at $1,274 per ounce, while oil was down $.21 to trade at $50.37 per barrel WTI.

We’ll get plenty of jobs data over the next three days, so we’ll get a better feel for how the Fed might be looking at that part of their mandate, while contemplating their next rate hike. Stay tuned.

Have a nice evening everyone.

Stay Strong Houston
