Another Quiet Advance

Friends

Not surprisingly it was another quiet trading session with a slight upward bias. As we have pointed out, other than impeachment and politics, there really isn’t that much more headline news expected before year end. Today’s housing starts and building permits data was strong, as was the jobs openings number. So again, economic data continues to point towards the positive also as we head towards the end of the decade.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 31 points to finish the day at 28,267. The S&P 500 was up 1 point to close at 3,192. Gold was down $1 to trade at $1,479 per ounce, while oil was up $.67 to trade at $60.88 per barrel WTI.

Santa is filling up his sleigh. Let’s see if he’s heading to Wall Street to deliver presents to the bulls this year. At this point it would really only be a little icing on the cake.

Have a nice evening everyone.
