A Real Snoozer

Aug 8, 2012 | Market Commentary

Friends

It was another slow day of trading today as market participants couldn’t decide whether to buy them or sell them today. After a quick 50 point drop on the opening, stocks worked their way back to even and spent the rest of the day just on either side of that line. By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 7 points to close at 13,175. The S&P500 was up less than a point to finish the day at 1402. Gold was up $3.20 to trade at $1616 per ounce, while oil was down $.31 to trade at $93.36 per barrel WTI.

Other than a few of the high flyers like Priceline blowing up today, there is really not that much to talk about. I’ll give you all the rest of the day off. We’ll check in tomorrow.

Have a nice evening everyone.
