3rd Quarter Ends On A High Note

Sep 29, 2017 | Market Commentary

Friends

Stocks coasted into the end of the 3rd quarter sporting all-time highs. Despite geopolitical unrest, hurricanes and domestic political theater on an almost daily basis, the bears have not been able to muster any resistance. The bulls seem unstoppable as we head into the last quarter of the year.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 23 points to finish the day at 22,405. The S&P 500 was up 9 points to close at 2,519. Gold was down $4 to trade at $1,284 per ounce, while oil was mainly unchanged at $51.57 per barrel WTI.

Next week we’ll get a new jobs number and then the week after that we will start easing into earnings season. It’s been a good year for the markets so far. Can the bulls close the deal in the final quarter of the year? Stay tuned.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Stay Strong Houston
