Remember Our Veterans This Weekend

May 27, 2016 | Market Commentary

Friends

The rain and flooding is really getting worse out here in The Woodlands, so we are going to close the office a little early today, so that everyone can hopefully get home safely. As for the markets, as of this writing, it has been a quiet day with the main news being Fed Chair Janet Yellen speaking at Harvard and indicating that rate hikes appear to be appropriate in the coming months (June is a coming month, right?). Once again, as of this writing stocks were mostly flat for the day.

Let’s take a moment to thank all of our veterans on this coming Memorial Day weekend. We would like to thank one of our own here at CHJ, Don Jenks, husband of Barb Jenks who served in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars. You can see and read about Don on our Facebook page – CHJ Wealth Management LLC. Thank you Don for your service to our country.

Have a great holiday weekend everyone. Remember we are closed on Monday, so we’ll talk on Tuesday. Stay safe out there.
