In terms of share price, the Nvidia earnings release was a bit of a nothing burger. Sure, the company hit it out of the park as they have so often in recent years, but it appears all of that was priced into the shares at this moment in time. Nevertheless, stocks in general had a decent day.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 71 points to finish the day at 45,636. The S&P 500 was up 20 points to close at 6,501. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 115 points to close at 21,705. Gold was up $28 to trade at $3,476 per ounce, while oil was up $.18 to trade at $64.33 per barrel WTI.

As we close in on month end, the bulls continue to occupy the high ground. The focus in September will be on the Fed meeting which will be on the 16th and 17th. For now let’s see how the week and month finish out tomorrow.

Have a nice evening everyone.
