Friends
Stocks ended the week on a high note as the market averages continue to push higher. The bulls have the Federal Reserve providing wind at their back and the political landscape is mostly known. And just because it looks like smooth sailing into year end, we’ll probably have something come out of the blue to throw us off track. Well, let’s hope not anyway.
As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 259 points to finish the day at 43,988. The S&P 500 was up 22 points to close at 5,995. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 17 points to close at 19,286. Gold was down $10 to trade at $2,694 per ounce, while oil was down $1.87 to trade at $70.49 per barrel WTI.
It has been quite a ride over the past several weeks, but I’d like to think we could have a slightly calmer path over the coming weeks. Of course, only time will tell. We’ll be here to guide you into the holidays.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Jim
