Stocks Pause Before Holiday Break

It looked like traders were ready to head out for the Thanksgiving holiday today as stocks drifted aimlessly in negative territory for the entire trading session. After the close, though, Nvidia releases their earnings report and that will likely light up the tech world for tomorrow’s trading.

As for today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 62 points to finish the day at 35,088. The S&P 500 was down 9 points to close at 4,538. Nasdaq was down 84 points to close at 14,199. Gold was up $21 to trade at $2,001 per ounce, while oil was down $.04 to trade at $77.79 per barrel WTI.

As I have mentioned, we often rally into the Thanksgiving holiday and for sure we have seen a heck of a move higher in stocks over the past few weeks. Nvidia is likely to stir some action early tomorrow morning, but we’ll see if things quiet down by the afternoon. Stay tuned.

Have a nice evening everyone.
