Friends
Stocks came back on the winning side of the ledger today (well except for the small loss in the Dow), with the Nasdaq and the big growth companies leading the way once again. Broaden out? Who needs to broaden out? Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta and Microsoft all moved higher and carried the market averages with them.
By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 4 points to finish the day at 33,946. The S&P 500 was up 16 points to close at 4,381. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 128 points to close at 13,630. Gold was down $20 to trade at $1,924 per ounce, while oil was down $3.14 to trade at $69.39 per barrel WTI.
The bulls were able to stem the tide that the bears had been trying to ride over the past few trading sessions. Let’s see if the bulls can hold the high ground and how the week finishes out tomorrow.
Have a nice evening everyone.
