Friends

Despite a somewhat favorable mix of earnings releases, stocks struggled for most of the trading session. After the close today we get earnings from Google, Facebook, Visa and Microsoft among others.

For today, by the close the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 228 points to finish the day at 31,761. The S&P 500 was down 45 points to close at 3,921. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 220 points to close at 11,562. Gold was down $3 to trade at $1,715 per ounce, while oil was down $1.73 to trade at $94.97 per barrel WTI.

Remember, we have the conclusion of the FOMC meeting tomorrow where the Fed is likely to raise the Fed Funds rate 75 basis points. Stay tuned, there is a lot to unpack this week.

Have a nice evening everyone.
