Nervous

Friends

Today’s market action had a feel to it that I would describe as nervous. No, stocks actually held in rather well and the losses were modest, but there seems to be a general nervousness hanging over the markets. Nervous about Covid19 headlines, nervous about corporate earnings, nervous about how stocks have rallied despite continued economic distress, nervous nervous nervous.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 135 points to finish the day at 26,734. The S&P 500 was down 10 points to close at 3,215. Gold was down $19 to trade at $1,794 per ounce, while oil was down $.47 to trade at $40.73 per barrel WTI.

As mentioned, despite the odd feeling that this market is giving many, the market averages continue to hang in there. Let’s see how the week finishes out tomorrow.

Have a nice evening everyone.
