Happy New Year!

Dec 31, 2018 | Market Commentary

Friends

The markets were kind enough to end on a high note. I guess that’s the least they could do after the December that they put us through. Stocks opened higher, gave up the gains midday, but rallied into the close.

For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 265 points to close at 23,327. The S&P 500 was up 21 points to finish the day at 2,506. Gold was up $1 to trade at $1,284 per ounce, while oil was up $.57 to trade at $45.90 per barrel WTI.

As we come to the close of another year, we just want to thank all of you for letting us be your guide on your financial journey. Despite the difficulty in the markets recently, we hope 2018 was a good one for you and that 2019 will be even better. Remember, if you haven’t done so, get that questionnaire we sent you back to us as soon as you can. We’ll be reaching out to you in January to have a conversation about the questionnaire and the game plan for 2019 and beyond. In the meantime, we’ll be back at it Wednesday. Be safe if you go out tonight.

Happy New Year Everyone!
