The Records Continue

Friends

Another day, another set of record closes for the market averages. Despite a jobs number that came in a little light, the animal spirits continue to be heightened. The bears have just about lost their minds at this point, while the bulls just continue to ride the wave.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 220 points to finish the day at 25,295. The S&P 500 was up 19 points to close at 2,743. Gold was down $2 to trade at $1,319, while oil was down $.51 to trade at $61.50 per barrel WTI.

The muted jobs number actually provides a sort of goldilocks type of scenario to the market place where the jobs market is good but not so good as to cause the Fed to accelerate rate increases. Everything seems to be coming up roses for the bulls at the moment.

Have a great weekend everyone.
