Bulls Counting On Santa

Friends

The bulls who are trying desperately to claim Dow 20,000 have run into a bit of a roadblock the past few trading sessions. Even the latest revision upward of 3rd quarter GDP couldn’t provide a catalyst.

As for today’s action, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 22 points to finish the day at 19,919. The S&P 500 was down 4 points to close at 2260. Gold was down $3.20 to trade at $1,130 per ounce, while oil was up $.20, trading at $52.69 per barrel WTI. Nat Gas was down $.009 finish trading at $3.533.

The bulls can still keep hope alive, as the Santa Claus rally (which officially is measured as the last trading days after Christmas before year end, and the first two trading days of the new year) is still a possibility. But for the moment the buyers appear exhausted. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Have a nice evening everyone.
